The NU Hartford Marathon released a picture of the finisher’s medal! Four weeks to go til race day… who’s in?
And, there are just 3 days left to sign up to join Team Achilles CT in the Hartford Marathon, Half Marathon, or 5K on October 11th!!
To date….we have 15 athletes registered not just from CT but from MA, VT, NYC, Philly, and MD!!!!
This is going to be an EPIC event….time is running out to register!!!!!

Take a look at the flyer below which was sent on behalf of our community partner, the Gaylord Hospital Sports Association.
Gaylord is again having a fundraising bike tour, the Gaylord Metric Century, and it’s on Saturday, September 27th in Simsbury.
Gaylord is working hard to recruit both riders and volunteers for this event.
For riders, there are several route options (62, 50, 35 and 12), and it’s a beautiful course. Registration is only $50, and all proceeds go to the Sports Association. The 12 and 35 mile rides stay on the Farmington River Trail, and are friendly for handcycles and adaptive riders. Gaylord cannot provide a ride buddy for all adaptive riders, but folks can borrow bikes if they have one available.
For interested volunteers, they are looking for people to help with registration, water stations, and course marshalls at intersections.

Great day for Achilles athletes who raced on the Gaylord Paratriathlon Team in the Madison Tri on Saturday!
Athletes completed a half mile swim in Long Island Sound, followed by a 13 mile bike around the back roads of Madison, and capping the day with a 3 mile run along the beautiful Madison shore.

Achilles CT was well represented at Connecticut’s Run for the Fallen with well over 150 kilometers of running.
Leading the way was Michael Lopresti with 65 kilometers of running. Michelle Currier added 42 kilometers, Jon Romeo ran 32 kilometers and Robert Deluca completed 16 kilometers. All told, the team completed almost 100 miles!
The Run for the Fallen is held each year in Middletown to pay tribute to the soldiers, sailors, and airmen who gave their lives in defense of our country.
